James from GFSmith got in contact to let us know about the leading speciality paper merchant celebrating 111 years of redefining how we view paper promotion with a touring heritage exhibition. The touring exhibition will showcase material which encompasses both European and American promotions. Featuring work from contributors such as Saul Bass, Milton Glaser, Paul Rand, Bill McKay and SEA Design. The exhibition launched at the Edinburgh School of Art in October 2009. The tour will commence in ernest in January at The Glasgow School of Art, and continues to tour the countries leading Universities throughout 2010.

Dieter Rams

For 40 years, from 1955 until 1995, Dieter Rams designed or oversaw the design of over 500 products for the German electronics manufacturer Braun, as well as furniture for Vitsoe. Today sees the start of an exhibition entitled “Less and More — The Design Ethos of Dieter Rams” at the Design Museum. This is the first UK definitive retrospective of Dieter Rams’ career in over 12 years. It runs from 18 November 2009 – 7 March 2010. Not to be missed.

The Russian Club Studios

Nat from The Russian Club Studios recently got in contact with Modern Thought to let us know about their lovely new website. The Russian Club Studios is a creative space consisting of galleries and studios, housing an assortment of artists, photographers and designers. TomorrowStudio is just one of the creatives housed there and they have designed TRCS’s first bi-annual newsletter.

Menier Gallery
